Preparing to Depart

This is part of a series of previz renders I did for an animation contest at CGtalk.com. I was unable to finish the contest due to other obligations, but I'm happy with the images that came out of it.

This is a shot of the weapons and gadgets a medieval spy will use as he prepares to depart on a mission of espionage. He has been given the task of infiltrating an enemy castle, and has prepared a strategic plan to use a harpoon and pulley to hoist himself up the castle wall.

The brass gadget is a circular glass cutter that works similarly to an engineers compass.
